My One-Year Journey: May 31, 2024 – May 31, 2025
And Thanks to Everyone Who Supported Me in this journey.
First, to start this, I really thank my dear Allah for giving me strength.
As a school teacher at GHSS Madyan, I always dreamed of going abroad, even though my financial situation was not good. My brothers and my wif
e constantly encouraged me, saying, "You are highly
educated; why don’t you try for the United Kingdom?" In Pakistan, I was
also pursuing a PhD at the University of Malakand, and I had already cleared my
comprehensive examination.
Besides teaching, I also worked at a photocopy shop
with my father. I love my father deeply and cherish the work we did together—I
learned so much from him.
I also love my wife very much. I take her words seriously and always reflect on
what she says after we finish a conversation. Her trust in me—that one day I
would go abroad—was always clear, and she prayed for me every day.
I love my two brothers, Niaz Ahmad and Irshad Ahmad, very much. They support me
a lot, always motivate me, and always agree with my decisions.
I always miss my two mothers. May Allah grant them a high rank in Jannah. I
always missed them during this journey.
One morning, on my way to school, I saw my cousin
Mian Adil and asked him if he was interested in going to the UK. He said yes,
and from that moment, things began to move. When I told my wife about Adil's
interest, she encouraged me to start PTE training. We went to Kabal to prepare
for the PTE exam, learned a lot, and eventually passed.
That’s when the UK process started. Managing the
bank statement and fees for my course took a lot of effort and struggle, but my
father; my brothers (Niaz Ahmad and Irshad Ahmad, along with his wife), my
sisters, my uncle Muhammad Shoaib, Maqsood Alam, Naeem Shah, Zia Hussain,
Mukhtair Ahmad, Zahoor Ahmad, and Muhammad Usman (Khan G), my school principal
(who always motivated me), my wife, and her family—especially my wife’s
mother—all supported me. My friends and cousins Naveed Alam, Aziz Ahmad,
Ghafoor Ahmad, and Jamil Ahmad also motivated me a lot.
During this struggle, I was afraid of only one
thing: I love my daughter more than myself. When I left for the airport, she
was always in front of my eyes. Only God knows how much I was hurting at that
moment.
On May 31, 2024, I landed at Manchester Airport. I
only knew one person there—Shahab Ali Khan, who was also my classmate in the
MSc Artificial Intelligence course at the University of Greater Manchester.
Shahab Ali Khan is a very good person and has now become my best friend; he is
like a brother to me. I was sick and jobless for two months and had to take out
a lot of loans in the UK and back in Pakistan. But my cousin Naeem Shah (a
person with a good heart) and my uncle (Kashar G) supported me a lot. During
tough times, I often talked to Adil, sharing our struggles because we had no
proper work and couldn’t even afford rent.
My cousin Naeem Shah and Zia Hussain helped me a
lot with my tuition fees without hesitation. As time passed, I met another
friend, Hazrat Bilal, who became a great companion. We loved food but we had no
money at that time, yet we always enjoyed each other's company.
I attended classes regularly, searched for jobs,
and worked very hard. Eventually, I found a good job. I moved to Liverpool,
where my other two friends, Mazhar and Mehran, joined me. We were all so happy
together. Currently, we are five best friends: Shahab Ali Khan, Hazrat Bilal,
Mazhar Jehan, Mehran, and me.
Mazhar Jehan is also a very respectful person. He
always values my words, and I always pray for him for his better future. Also, Mehran
supports me a lot whenever I need his support.
My friend Adil is also in a good position now, and
I always pray for his good health and success.
Currently, I have completed my degree with distinction. I have also published seven research papers and a book, and I’ve
paid off my tuition fees. This is the story of my journey so far.
For now, best of luck! We always pray for you. May God grant you more success.
